Creating a seamless cross-product experience leveraging One Intuit Account

Intuit Product Design Internship 2022

During the summer of 2022, I interned at Intuit as a product designer, finding new opportunities in the One Intuit Account System. I suggested new features that leverage customer data to provide customized recommendations, easy sign-in process, and data ownership to customers.

Cross-product experiences in 'One Intuit Account' ecosystem.

The manage and connect team

I interned on the manage and connect team that creates experiences for the 'One Intuit Account Manager.' The One Intuit Account Manager is a hub where customers can manage their account information and more.

The process

Through out the process, I observed current experiences, defined problem, listened to partners, asked customers, iterated design and shared insights.

Suggesting new features

Going through design processes, I was convinced that smart recommendation, quick sign-up, and data management features will benefit Intuit customers. Also, I gained insight that giving data ownership and transperency to customer is what Intuit product designers should have in mind when designing an integrated ecosystem level experiences. I integrated new features into an end-to-end experience on the existing platform. As a final deliverable, I created a prototype of a user's journey of discovering and activating new products, and manage data connected to each product.

Designing together

As a product design intern of a big tech company, I realized that there are many people who have been spending days, weeks, or months in similar problem areas to mine. They have interviewed customers, reviewed data, experimented hypothesis. I asked, read, and listened to them and learned a lot more than I could have been able to discover in 12 weeks. I could get great feedback about how well my suggestions were aligned with the customers' and the organization's needs just because I generated ideas based on the learnings from them. I felt lucky to have been surrounded by supportive and passionate people and I enjoyed working with them.
